Leadership Team Workshop.

A half-day OKR workshop for the Leadership Team to support your organization's strategy execution. The outcome: a shared understanding of the impact and approach of adopting the OKR model in your organization specifically.

Who it's for.

This workshop is for you if:

  • your organization is in a new growth phase, or has a new owner or CEO
  • your strategy exists, but execution isn't happening in everyday work
  • you have already tried models like Balanced Scorecard or action plans without the results you wanted

Why this workshop.

Making strategy concrete for the whole company is hard, especially when day-to-day operations eat up everyone's resources. The OKR model offers practical tools, and we bring proven international best practices. During this workshop, the Leadership Team hears from strategy execution experts and jointly explores the approach and options for applying strategy execution in your organization. During the workshop, we also cover how AI is accelerating OKR adoption and how it will change goal setting and tracking in the near future.

Strategy execution has to be understood hands-on. That is why we use pedagogically engaging exercises during the workshop, so the concepts become familiar in practice.

Workshop structure

Six stages.

  1. 01 →Scheduling. We agree on a joint preparation meeting and the workshop date, typically about a week before the event.
  2. 02 →Description of the current state. We map your strategy's current state and any prior experience with strategy execution models.
  3. 03 →Objectives specific to the context. We jointly define what the Leadership Team wants to achieve with the workshop.
  4. 04 →Half-day workshop with the Leadership Team. We cover a case presentation, OKR theory, and key questions through hands-on exercises.
  5. 05 →Collecting observations. We compile the Leadership Team's thinking and assumptions into a written analysis.
  6. 06 →Summary and recommendations. We present a roadmap for how to proceed with OKR adoption.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ.

How long does preparation take?

Preparation typically takes about a week before the workshop: we agree on a schedule in a joint preparation meeting, map your organization's current state, and define the objectives the workshop is built around.

Can the workshop be delivered remotely?

We have successfully delivered the workshop remotely, including across multiple time zones at once. That said, the most impactful results come when the whole Leadership Team is in the same room at the same time.

What happens after the workshop?

You receive a written analysis of the Leadership Team's views and a concrete roadmap for moving forward. If you decide to adopt the OKR model, the next stage is securing the prerequisites for adoption and rolling out the model in your organization.

How does OKR differ from previous models, such as the Balanced Scorecard?

Many organizations have already tried models like the Balanced Scorecard or action plans with weak results. OKR differs through a shorter tracking cycle (a quarter rather than a year), a focus on results rather than activity, and involving the whole organization in setting objectives.

Do participants get the Implementing OKRs books?

Yes. The books can be included in the workshop package, in Finnish or English.

How long does the workshop take?

We typically reserve half a working day for the session. We can easily add content, or split the session into two parts if calendars are tight.

Do we get the presentation slides?

Yes.

How does AI affect OKR adoption?

During the workshop, we cover how AI can be harnessed to accelerate goal-setting, measurement, and tracking. Used well, AI shortens the path from strategy to everyday execution; used poorly, it adds noise. We help the Leadership Team use it well.
